Mark Satkiewicz Death – Mark Satkiewicz, an industry veteran who previously ran Smart Wool and was the last co-founder and career executive at SBT GRVL, Colorado’s well-known rock career, died.
His passing was affirmed by an SBT GRVL message: “It is with overwhelming compassion that we share updates on Mark Satkiewicz’s passing. Mark passed away yesterday during a cardiovascular episode. Mark was an extraordinary husband, father and partner, and we are amazed and amazed for the unexpected loss of this beloved individual from the rock network.
“We are tremendously grateful for Mark’s vision for SBT GRVL – to do a comprehensive understanding of the network. His vision and stewardship were instrumental in the progress of the occasion.
“His enthusiasm and drive to develop the cycling game will be remembered with ordinary love.”

Satkiewicz spent ten years at Smartwool, joined the brand as vice president of deals in 2006 and promoted to president in 2009. He joined shortly after Timberland purchased the merino wool socks and outfit organization and proceeded to the president job after that VF Corp bought Timberland in 2011.
Before Smartwool, he spent 11 years at Nike, rising to the footwear team leader for the US Shoe Association. In August 2016, he left SmartWool to become Senior Supervisor of the Americas at Toms and retired after 11 months.
In 2018, he helped establish SBT GRVL, the rock occasion in Steamboat Springs, CO, alongside Amy Parity and Ken Benesh. The August occasion of the current year has been ruled out and is being rethought as a virtual occasion.
Satkiewicz was also part of the warning board at thousand, the bicycle head protector who is in Los Angeles and had recently served on the board of the Outdoor Industry Association and SOS Outreach.
